Amazon Bikinis – Is the convenience worth the purchase?
Let’s talk Amazon Swimwear. As you babes know I am apart of their Influencer Program and regularly share my recent buys. Before we dive into reviewing three different Amazon swimwear pieces, I want to preface this post by stating I stay true to my brand and would NEVER recommend something I did not genuinely like.
Swimsuit #1: Red Strapless Bikini
Now for the low down. Considering the price point and quick free shipping, it’s clear as to why you might contemplate purchasing a bikini on Amazon. Honestly, I’ve had some in my cart before and was like “wait who buys swimwear on Amazon – THIS IS BIZARRE”. That was until, I found myself in a pinch with a cruise just days away and figured now is a time as any to purchase one! I ordered this red strapless bikini and can report – you get what you pay for. In this case less. After working with brands who handcraft their buttery soft swimwear, you kind of become spoiled. There is a reason why the price is low – so is the quality. It felt little stiff and scratchy while wearing. I’d rate this one and a half star out of five and that’s being generous.
Style Details: Strapless with adjustable back (may cause uniboob if worn with supportless padding cups) and matching red thong that’s anything but comfortable.
Did it look cute in photos? Not really. Hence only one mysterious cropped selfie on my insta. Did it fit? MEH. To my surprise it wasn’t snug or loose but it definitely wasn’t flattering. Would I buy this red set again? Nope! I personally don’t think it did my body any favors.

Swimsuit #2: Leopard One Piece
Fast forward a few weeks and I’m headed to the Bahamas. After receiving requests for more Amazon swimwear hauls, I purchased this leopard print one piece. This piece was night and day from the first bikini I ordered on Amazon. I’d safely say 4.8 rating out of 5. Knocking off some minor points because of its conservative bottom style. I really liked the fit and style – very comfortable & on trend! The material was better (not luxe by any means but still good). For what I paid, it exceeded my expectations and looked the part. Pro Tip: If you’re trying to look luxe for less, choosing the right print is crucial. Done properly it will hide any flaws or stitching inconsistencies.
Style Details: Purr-fect one piece with plunging neckline and long halter straps to up your level of extra. The bottoms are medium to full coverage depending on the junk in your trunk. Did I just say that? Yes. Unless tied strategically, this is a suit best suited for a shady day.
Did it look cute in photos? Absolutely. Did it fit? Yes. The bottoms offer a bit more coverage than I’m used to but not a deal breaker. Would I buy this one piece again? Yes! It’s a perfect sexy but cute balance that could be worn on a family getaway with your bae (IMO).

Swimsuit #3: Neon Bikini
Drum roll for the third and final swimwear item I purchased from Amazon, this killer neon set. What better way to brighten up a gloomy quarantine day than with something bright and new? Even though I have no where to necessarily wear this to at the moment, it’s a great buy to lounge in my living room + backyard. I would rate this a solid 4 out of 5. The top fit perfectly and I love that I could either tie the long straps around my rib cage or tuck and hide it under the band. The color was just as vibrant as I hoped! I wasn’t crazy about the fit of the bottoms. The high leg and cheeky cut are on point, just wish it hugged my body more. I recommend if you’re in between sizes, size down in this set.
Style Details: Sexy sporty top with removable padding and long strappy strings. This set comes with a high cut minimal coverage thong. If you’re blessed with boobs this is a great option for you! The adjustments are easy to make once you’re wearing it and will offer the support needed.
Did it look cute in photos? Yes, it’s a stunner. Did it fit? Yes. I was pleasantly surprised by the support of the top. The strap you see going over my shoulder goes through the loops in the middle where it crosses. Meaning, if you’re worried about straps being the wrong length this is your kini. Additionally, the band is completely adjustable with these straps too! The bottom was slightly loose on my waist – I’m sure after these quarantine snacks it’ll fit just fine. Would I buy this bikini set again? Yes! For under $25 it’s worth it.
