Britt’s Bikinis
If you follow me on Instagram or if you’re a frequent visitor to my blog (thank ya) you probably noticed I do a lot of shoots and collabs with Britt’s Bikinis. So it should come as no surprise that they’re my first ever Kini Krush. I’m excited to add this feature to my blog to highlight hard working boss babes who create gorgeous kinis! The post will include the reason why I’m krushing on the kini, a fun Q&A with the designer/owner, and styling tips.
So let’s dive right in. The first ever Kini Krush goes to Britt’s Bikinis’ Jade set. The top’s style is the traditional triangle, which I find very flattering! You can’t go wrong with a classic. The strings enable you to tie the band and halter to your level of comfort and support. In addition, its sliding cups ensure your breasts are covered and everything stays in place. I was swimming around and jumping out of the pool without any issues!
The bottom of the Jade set is moderate cheeky, which for me is family friendly. I have so many teeny tiny suits it has become an issue when my family invites me out on the boat. This is a great compromise, I can still tan my cheeks without having my entire booty out on display. The three strap sides are a beautiful subtle detail. It looks amazing paired with the top’s single string ties and shows off a bit more skin by exposing your hips.
Can we please talk about how dreamy this print is? Being a Miami native, I couldn’t resist the tropical vibes and vibrant colors! It has all my favorite colors (blue, pink, and purple) in it too. Any bikini loving babe could rock this suit and stand out in its unique print. Did I mention it instantly makes you look tanner? Seriously, I was so pale and the colors contrasted against my skin beautifully. I can only imagine how it will look now that I’ve been tanning with my Bali Body tanning oil.
Let’s talk styling! So I decided to pair this kini with a gorgeous lei to bring out the vibrant print even more for my shoot. However, if I were going to a pool party or the beach I would definitely pair this top with denim cut off shorts, a lace kimono, a dainty choker, and gladiator or tie up sandals. Q&A with our kini babe: Brittany Hernandez
So tell me a little about yourself
I’m a Miami native and have lived here my entire life! I was exposed to the beauty of the sea from a very young age as I would vacation the Florida Keys on weekends. I am of Cuban descent but gratefully have all my family here with me in Miami. In my free time I enjoy designing, exercising, and spending time with friends & fam.
What inspired you to start creating bikinis?
As cheesy as it sounds, I’ve always had a passion for fashion hehe. Once I realized how many beautiful bikinis are out there, I wanted to join in on the fun!
How long have you designed suits for?
I started my kini journey (almost) over a year ago
Where are you based?
Miami, FL
Do you have any Kini Krushes?
My ultimate kini crush of mine is either my Sandy nude set or Jasmine set!
Who would you love to see rocking your kinis?
If I saw Bella Hadid rocking one of my kinis I might die
What kind of beach babe do you have in mind when you’re creating your swimwear?
In my latest collection, I have tons of different sizing options! My Britt’s Bikinis babes can now pre-order their suits with custom sizing. I wanted to make sure my designs were created for absolutely any bikini enthusiast, from my thick baes to my petite ones.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
Definitely time management, as a high school student it’s been a struggle trying to balance my school work and business. Thankfully, next year I’ll be attending college in Miami, with a more flexible schedule.
What’s next for Britt’s Bikinis?
Big things are happening on March 17! Our new spring ’17 collection will finally drop. As if I wasn’t already stoked about that, I will be working with my ultimate favorite blogger, kicks and kinis, in our exclusive spring 17 collection photoshoot here in Miami. I also can’t wait to travel this summer with all my #BrittsBikinis! Hopefully, by the end of the year I make it to the West coast to meet some of my fav Cali bloggers!
