Hey babes! I’m so excited to do this blog cross over with Melody Wright, also known as@_gypseaaa_ on Instagram. I started following her a few months ago and I’m beyond happy that she started Tan Lines Bikni Blog. We share the same goals, love for helping small business, and of course a passion for swimwear. It was brought to my attention that there are companies who are taking advantage of you merbabes. After brainstorming, I thought this post would be a great follow up to Melody’s latest blog post, Reasons to STOP Buying Cheap, Wholesale Bikinis. So we’ve reviewed our favorite local bikini brands here in the States and brought you this amazing cross over! I’m taking over the East Coast brands that I have worked with and Melody’s blog, Tan Lines Bikini Blog, has the best of the West! I hope you all enjoy these handmade suits because I know I do.

First on the list is Britt’s Bikinis. Brittany Hernandez is the young designer who answers every mermaid’s wish, a bikini that is affordable but does not compromise the quality of it. Let’s be real, if you’re a true bikini enthusiast you most likely spend a decent amount of your paycheck on swimsuits #sorrynotsorry. This doesn’t have to be the case anymore! I have followed Brittany’s designing journey from the very beginning! I remember her first samples and instantly became obsessed with the unique and versatile styles. Whether you’re a poolside lounger or active person Britt’s Bikinis offers the perfect suit for you. Britt’s Bikinis takes away that guilty feeling for treating yourself to a high quality form fitting bikini because it doesn’t break the bank. That’s right ladies, say goodbye to high designer brand prices! I was surprised when I discovered the highest priced set that Britt’s Bikinis sells is just $90. I can’t even buy a designer top for that price (sad but true). I felt like I was dreaming or maybe I finally found bikini heaven. Whatever the case is I knew I had to share this gem with my followers! ​

I had the pleasure of meeting Maheli Heli Swimwear’s designer, Rebecca Vazquez, when she first started to sell her bikinis. I was impressed at this young entrepreneur who made a name for herself through her strong work ethic. Fast forward five years and her designs continue to make me fall more in love with this amazing brand. Maheli Heli creates various styles that flatter any merbabe’s figure. I have seen girls who are blessed with DDs rock her suits that offer great support! I seriously can’t wait to purchase more kinis from her latest collection.

My personal favorites are Ruby bikini top, Paloma bikini top, Jules bikini top, knotty bikini bottom, and Noa bikini bottom. Did I mention that Maheli Heli means mermaid in Hawaiian? If you want to feel like a true mermaid be sure to follow their Instagram too!

When I am on the hunt for beautifully crafted suits that don’t break the bank I explore Etsy. This is where I found MC Swim, a hidden gem that I knew I had to share! My favorite thing about my blog is it gives me the opportunity to meet and support fellow mermaids. Megan Cecil is a total #girlboss who designs and creates her own swimwear. She grew up in St. Pete, Florida and being a true Florida native has been living in a bikini since she was a little mermaid. Megan is talented, creative, and overall the sweetest person I have worked with. She achieves her goal of making any girl feel confident and unique by tailoring her swimwear to any bikini enthusiasts wants or needs. You decide on the style and fabric. It’s like having a fairy godmother for bikinis! You don’t have to worry about your kini not fitting right because you send Megan your exact measurements guaranteeing the perfect fit.

Miami proves to be more than just a vacation destination with all these great brands producing out of it. ​Nicole Cerra designs and creates Nicole Swimwear here in Miami. Nicole’s inspiration comes from Miami’s tropical art and fashion. This girl boss not only designs the style of her bikinis but also sketches the print for her fabric. How cool is that? Her bikinis are truly one of a kind as they are created from Nicole’s artwork and then transferred onto high quality fabric. I absolutely love that they are all reversible because I can mix and match the prints dependent on my mood. Some days I want to be matchy-matchy and other days I find myself wanting the printed fabric paired with solid color. It’s great to have versatility and options when you’re always in a bikini.

My personal favorites are the reef top and bottom in banana breeze and Island top and scrunch bottom in nikki print. I recommend any bikini enthusiast to check out Nicole Swimwear because friends don’t let friends wear basic bikinis! ​
